I'll admit it: Coldplay harpooned with Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head. However, I stopped following the band when I heard the cliche and formulaic X&Y; I hated the band after hearing Viva la Vida. Chris Martin and Co. struck oil with Parachutes, and, in my opinion, have spent the 9+ years following its release perfecting that sound, which is cool if you enjoy watching hamsters in wheels.
